NSW: Missing woman found as police launch salvage operation

A crane will be used to salvage a yacht which capsized off the New South Wales coast,
after police divers recovered the body of a woman on board the submerged vessel.

The body is believed to be that of British woman CHARLOTTE LENAS, 18, who went missing
when the boat rolled off Evans Head four days ago.

Police say the coroner has been informed and the body will be taken to Kempsey for
formal identification.

Police divers recovered the body from the overturned wreck of the yacht which had been
towed to South West Rocks, north of Kempsey, by a fishing vessel.

The chartered vessel was found yesterday off Scotts Head, about 270 kilometres south
of Evans Head.

The yacht, Rising Farrster, was being crewed by six Britons when tragedy struck about
1am (AEST) Sunday near Evans Reef, south of Ballina.

LINDA YARR, 35, of Airdrie in Scotland, was one of two people killed in the accident.

Four others were forced to swim 16 hours to shore.

Police say attempts will be made tomorrow to salvage the boat to allow crime scene
officers to examine it.
