Strange things happen when Supervisor Richard Fennelly talks at Town Hall about a revision to the police union contract.
Last month a television technician was nearly electrocuted following a Town Board meeting on the police issue when his remote broadcasting truck transmitter struck power lines.
On Friday afternoon, an electrical problem in a fluorescent light sent smoke and an acrid odor through Town Hall and the attached Robert C. Parker School, forcing the evacuation of about 50 people.
